Balsam Fir is an evergreen tree with a strong central leader and a distinctive and refined pyramidal form. It does better when planted in sheltered spaces (backyards and/or with other trees/shrubs/structures around to help shield the fir from wind). This tree has flat, dark green needles with a strong balsam scent.
