(Quercus x schuettei)

Schuette Oak is a hybrid between Quercus bicolor (swamp white oak) and Quercus macrocarpa (bur oak). Both species are known for their cold hardiness, tasty acorns that drop in September and October, and the ability to tolerate and thrive on both bottomland and upland sites of varying pH levels. It produces acorns at a young age, providing high wildlife value and beautiful shade. This is a low maintenance tree, due to its structure and slow growth, with good pest resistance.
